Who am i

Hi, I’m Brady.

I’m a personalised nutritionist serving individuals and businesses across Fremantle, WA, and beyond. As a passionate foodie, self-confessed nutrition-nerd and lover of the outdoors, my health is important to me.

But it hasn’t always been this way.

For many years, I experienced my own slew of health challenges - breathing issues, depression, anxiety, and crippling lower back pain. I was looking for an answer to fix these problems, and turned to food to find it.

Gut Health

Keeping the gut ecosystem healthy will have positive effects on many other important systems in our body: the immune system, the nervous system, the detoxification system, energy metabolism and hormones – you name it, it’s all connected, and the health of these systems largely emanate from the gastrointestinal tract

Male Infertility

Male infertility is becoming an increasingly common problem and resolving this issue in men is often overlooked. However, there are many ways to improve a man’s chances of initiating a pregnancy with the right help and support of nutritional therapy.

Fatigue

(INC. CHRONIC FATIGUE, FIBROMYALGIA, EPSTEIN BARR VIRUS)

Modern life has created a metabolic ‘energy crisis’. Many people seem to have persistent fatigue, high stress levels, weight gain and long-term metabolic dysfunction. ‘Unexplained’ fatigue is also becoming more commonplace, and it seems to be affecting people at a younger age.

While doing routine blood tests to screen for low iron, thyroid function, B12 status etc., can highlight the underlying cause of fatigue, in some cases, further investigation is required.

Mental Health

(INC. Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Stress)

Together, anxiety and depression affect more than 20% of Australian adults. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has further raised statistics around mental health. Between March and April 2020, one month after the implementation of lockdown, an Australian survey reported 62% and 50% of those surveyed were afflicted by anxiety and depression respectively.

Immunity

(INC. Allergies, Autoimmunity)

The immune system is usually well-equipped to swiftly deal with exposure to pathogens, often before they have a chance to cause symptoms. However, it can often become overwhelmed and perform sub-optimally nowadays, resulting in frequent illnesses and immune complications.

Fortunately, there are tons of therapeutic options available that can enhance and strengthen the immune system once we have determined the underlying cause.

Body Recomposition

The number of overweight and obese people is soaring. In Australia, nearly 2/3 of adults are either overweight or obese, and this is an ever-increasingly problem in children and teenagers too. Many people find it hard to maintain their ideal body weight after they have had success when following a weight loss intervention. There are many reasons why this can happen, but it usually indicates that the weight loss has come from loss of muscle as much as loss of fat.

Longevity and Optimisation

Ageing is characterised by a progressive and general decrease in function, leading to a reduced ability to adapt to change and preserve homeostasis. Ageing in itself is not a disease but it strongly increases the chances of suffering from a chronic disease.
